More Info

Located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, the Congress Theater stands as one of the city’s premiere venues for live entertainment.

Built in 1926, The Congress Theater Chicago is still a prime example of the classic movie palace, noted for its beautifully ornate exterior and interior design. The venue has, as expected, undergone a number of renovations over the years, but has thankfully maintained its Classical Revival and Italian Renaissance inspired architecture. The Congress Theater currently features a main theater area, a balcony level and a grand four-story Entrance Pavilion. In 2002, the venue was named an official Chicago landmark.

The high regard in which the Congress Theater is held by those in the entertainment industry themselves is evident in the list of stars who have taken to the stage there over the years. Prince, Paramore, Nine Inch Nails, The Killers, Korn, Ludacris and Billy Idol are just a few of those featured on the Congress Theater schedule in the past.
